Welcome, and thanks for visiting!
I write both mystery fiction (as Chuck Greaves) and literary fiction (as C. Joseph Greaves) when I’m not out in my vineyard here at Stark Raven Ranch in southwestern Colorado.
Having previously worked as a bartender, a construction worker, and a librarian, and having spent 25 years as an L.A. trial lawyer, I’ve witnessed firsthand the best and worst of the human condition, and I strive to bring its foibles and frailties, its humor and its inherent dignity to the fore in all of my writing. My hope is that, whatever your reading tastes or interests, you’ll find something entertaining, and something true, in every one of my books.
