Thank you for visiting my website.  As Chuck Greaves, I write a critically-acclaimed series of legal mysteries for St. Martin’s Minotaur, the first of which, the award-winning HUSH MONEY, was published in May of 2012, and the next installment of which, GREEN-EYED LADY, is out June 25, 2013.  As C. Joseph Greaves, I write literary fiction for Bloomsbury, and my literary debut HARD TWISTED was released worldwide in November of 2012.

Having worked as a bartender, a construction worker, and a librarian, and having spent 25 years as an L.A. trial lawyer, I’ve witnessed firsthand the best and worst of the human condition, and I strive to bring its foibles and frailties, its humor and its inherent dignity to the fore in all of my writing.  My hope is that, whatever your taste in literature, you’ll find something entertaining, and something true, in every one of my books.
